Received an unsolicited call the other day, attempting to peddle life insurance. Quite bothersome, really.

I engaged in a brief conversation with a chap who claimed he was representing a firm that assesses life insurance policies. He insisted he could help me reduce my premiums. I politely mentioned that I’ve recently gone over my life insurance and didn’t require assistance.

To my surprise, he rather abruptly interrupted me, saying, “Did no one ever tell you that you’ve got two ears and one mouth? You ought to be listening to me!”

Got a call right at lunch and the number was unfamiliar, sounded like it was from Sheffield or somewhere around there. I’m just gonna block it, no idea who it could be.

Today I got a call from this number claiming to be from Sheffield, but don’t be fooled. They’re definitely not based there. After looking into it, it turns out they’re actually ringing from India and just faking the Sheffield code. I’ve checked it over and over, so I’d steer clear of them completely.
