The chap on the line claimed to be from PC World and mentioned something about offering me a goodwill gesture of £50 due to a minor issue I had with a recent purchase. He went on to inform me that I should expect another call shortly, during which I would need to provide my bank details. Well, that call hasn’t come through yet, and I can't help but feel a bit suspicious. Is this some kind of scam?

This number’s from Knowhow, total pain in the neck. Bought a Beko drier off them that’s a fire hazard, apparently already caused one poor person’s death. They don’t answer or give a way to leave a message, so good luck getting hold of anyone.

Talked to a guy called Simon who was really nice and tried to help, but just as he was booking the appointment, their system crashed. This number has called me a couple of times but I didn’t answer since I didn’t know who it was. I got a call missed from this number then phoned Hotpoint to follow up on a repair. They told me they’re no longer handling Know How stuff since they don’t fix those themselves, just send someone out who says it can’t be sorted. Luckily, Hotpoint sorted me a repair for next Friday 18th November without any fuss. Took just about 8 minutes on hold too. Wish I’d called them ages ago! Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly though :-)
