I'm rather convinced that there’s a bit of a scam going on here involving Abby. Lately, we've been receiving letters claiming there's money waiting for us in our account. Honestly, I intend to pursue this and get what’s rightfully ours. If these individuals are asserting that we have funds due to us, then I see no reason why we shouldn’t lay claim to it.

Received a letter today featuring that phone number, and it doesn’t strike me as your typical correspondence from Abbey. I closed my account with them a few years back. The letter mentions a balance of £161 dated 18th June 2009, which is rather puzzling. I intended to call them, but it got too late in the day! Are they asserting that this is money owed to us, or are they claiming we are in the red with them? Quite baffling, to say the least!

I've just received another notification from Santander (previously known as Abbey), and they're still indicating that our balance stands at £190 like they did in the previous correspondence. What's the deal with that?

We've just received the exact same email regarding a balance of £675 in an account we don't possess. We’ve never held an Abbey account. I tried ringing them up, but all I got was a message saying the account might have been transferred to another company. What on earth is going on?

We received correspondence concerning this telephone number, and I can assure you that we do not have any financial obligations to them. It’s quite irritating, to say the least. I've heard whispers that these folks specialise in acquiring aged debts, but I can categorically state that this one doesn’t belong to me.

Hi there, we received a letter with this number asking us to call for some information regarding a balance. However, we no longer have an account with Abbey and don't have any outstanding debts with them. The only thing we can think of is that it might relate to some bank charges we were trying to recover, which could explain the mention of a credit balance.
