Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, told me I’d be taken to court if I didn’t do something. They wanted me to ring '1' to talk to my case officer. Quite scary but seemed fishy.

Got a call really early, like 8:30 in the morning, and it was one of those recorded ones with that weird robotic voice. They said something about HMRE and told me to press 4 to talk to my case officer. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

I got a call earlier today from an automated voice saying I needed to ring back because hmrc was taking legal action against me. They kept saying "lawsuit" instead of prosecution which I thought was odd - all the real hmrc numbers I know begin with 0300. Definitely seemed like a scam to me, but I did get in touch with hmrc yesterday, so maybe their data got hacked or something?
