Then a different woman gets on and asks for more info, but I just tell her to stop bothering people and find an honest job. They hang up straight away, no goodbye or nothing. Just tonight it rang again but cut off before I could answer.

I just fired back, “Maybe you should stop scamming innocent folks and wasting everyone’s time, you muppet.” Then I hung up on them, haha.

Earlier today, 31 March, I got a call from this number but didn’t pick up. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. I looked it up here afterwards and decided to block it.

Got a call from a Sheffield code, rang me at 11:55am on the 31st March 2021. The person on the line was talking in some foreign language with an accent I couldn’t place, then just dropped the call. I’ve got a spend limit on my phone set to zero, so no surprise charges can show up. Definitely looks like a scam, probably one of those Wangiri scams trying to trick you into ringing back. Best avoid phoning that number at all costs.

Received a rather dubious phone call today from someone claiming I’d been involved in an accident within the past three years. The fellow on the other end had quite a pronounced Indian accent and was probing for my personal details. As I declined to share any information, he resorted to a barrage of foul language before abruptly disconnecting the call. Curious, I looked up the number and it brought me to this site. To satisfy my curiosity, I rang the number back, only to be greeted by a voicemail message saying, “You’ve reached Roy Hancock Engineering, kindly leave a message, and somebody shall return your call.”
