Indeed, I’ve also had a couple of missed calls from this number without any voicemail left. We scheduled our MOT online via Nationwide Autocentres, so it’s not hard to see how they got our details. I distinctly recall ticking a box to opt out of any promotional calls or materials, so I’m absolutely in the same boat as Mark; I’ll definitely be letting them have a piece of my mind when they finally reach us.

We just received a missed call from them, but we had an encounter with their sales team recently. They actually tried to pressure us into setting up a direct debit without even letting us see the policy first! I politely refused but mentioned they could send us the information to review it. Just had a call today from MOTORWAY DIRECT, trying to sell us an extended warranty for our vehicle. It's rather suspicious how they must have obtained our details, especially since we recently had some tyres fitted at Nationwide Autocentres. We decided to pass on their offer, though. We've received two calls from this number - one just the other day and another today. The previous time, we actually answered, but the line went dead as soon as we did. Just like the previous comment, I answered the call only for it to cut off immediately. We had our MOT done not long ago at Nationwide Autocentres, and if it turns out they’ve been sharing our number, that caller is in for a right earful when we finally do manage to speak to them! We absolutely detest the idea of our number being handed over to telemarketing firms without us giving the nod first!

I'd recommend steering clear of any withheld numbers and simply ignoring those calls from unknown sources. Personally, I don’t bother picking up my phone for numbers I can’t recognise. I let my voicemail do the work, but it seems nobody ever leaves a message. It’s probably just those dodgy tricksters! Whether it’s Halfords or Nationwide-or whatever Halfords Auto Centres is calling itself these days-it's all the same bunch of con artists! Honestly, we have a strong disdain for marketing; it must be quite a miserable job, though someone has to take it on, unfortunately.

We strongly recommend that folks consider blocking any withheld numbers and to steer clear of callers whose identities are unknown. We tend to let unidentified calls ring out; we don't pick up if the number isn’t familiar. Our voicemail was activated, yet no one bothered to leave a message. A right bunch of charlatans, if you ask me! Be it Halfords or Nationwide-now known as Halfords Auto Centres-they’re all cut from the same cloth, just a pack of con artists! Marketing, in our opinion, must be a miserable line of work, though I suppose there's always someone who has to take on that role.

Interestingly enough, I just had my car serviced at Halfords for its MOT, and I have a hunch they might have divulged my contact details. Consequently, I fired off a rather blunt email to them, making it clear that should this nuisance persist and they don’t take me off their third-party list, I'll be lodging a formal complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as well as escalating the matter to their Head Office.

I received a call while on the job from Motorway Direct, who apparently obtained my number from Halfords Autocentre. I was never asked if they could pass on my details.
