I received a call from someone with a foreign accent who rambled on about nuisance phone calls, claiming he’d send me a pack to sign and return, which would supposedly put an end to all the calls. When I asked if he could ring me back later as it was dreadfully early, he snapped back rather rudely, insisting he hadn’t finished his spiel and began to yell at me. I ended the call, only to be bombarded by another number moments later. The caller then taunted me, saying he hoped I’d continue to receive more harassing calls. As someone who isn’t particularly young, I found the entire experience quite intimidating. It’s high time these callers were dealt with.

Kept getting calls from this number with someone speaking in an Indian accent, claiming they wanted to insure my Toshiba TV - which I don’t even own. Then another call came right after from 07931865589 with a very similar voice. Clearly just scammers trying to catch older folks out. We’ve had loads of calls like this before, where they pretend to be from the bank, saying your account’s been hacked but warning you not to visit your local branch because supposedly they’re involved. Totally dodgy.

Got a call from a man with a foreign accent who said he could help block annoying calls if I gave him my bank card info. He already knew the first four digits, then asked me for the rest of the numbers along with the start and expiry dates. I rang my bank afterwards and they assured me my account hadn’t been compromised. I think this sort of trick could be really risky, especially for elderly folks.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who said he was ringing about insurance on my TV. He claimed I was overpaying and offered a cheaper deal for the next three years. (If that’s the case, I’d love to see how much they want to charge). When he asked me the brand of my TV, I told him I’m on the TPS list and this was an unsolicited call - he just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from an Indian-sounding woman claiming she could put an end to all those pesky unsolicited calls. So I cheekily asked if she was referring to calls like the one I just got from her. She sounded confused and asked me to explain, so I repeated whether she meant calls like hers. That's when she lost it, started being rude and ended the call with a bang!

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, who claimed she was from a company called UK Appliance. She said she was calling from Cardiff and assured me they would put a stop to all the unwanted calls I’ve been getting. Odd thing is, the number showed a Sheffield code. Then, just like that, she ended the call. Pretty strange.

I received a call from this number attempting to sell me a service to block cold calls for a fee of £2.50 a month, claiming they were from UK Appliances. I gave them a moment of my time to hear their pitch, but once I declined their offer, they decided to ring me again from a different number: 01395224268. It’s rather frustrating, to say the least!

An overseas chap rang up claiming we had somehow overpaid for our television insurance and that we were eligible for a refund. The moment we mentioned we don't even have any TV insurance, he promptly ended the call. Quite odd!
