They were attempting to offer me something, but I wasn't keen, and then they abruptly hung up. Interestingly enough, just the day before, I heard from yet another Sheffield number, and they too knew my name. This time, they were pestering me about upgrading my life insurance. Quite curious, isn’t it? The accent didn’t seem local at all, which made it rather suspicious.

I got a call from someone called "James" on 04.10.2023 who seemed to know my name and address. He said he was ringing from BT OpenReach about my internet. When I didn’t give him the answers he was after, he just ended the call straight away. This one sounded a lot more genuine and spoke really clearly compared to other calls I’ve had like this before, so it definitely could fool you into thinking it was a proper call.
