These individuals ring our number and hang up just as the answering message kicks in. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

Received a call from the number 01142360311. They were prattling on about our computer system or something similar. Clearly a scam! I told them to shove off and mentioned that I'd be reporting their antics.

I’ve just received a call from the same chap again, and the moment I inquired about his identity, he abruptly ended the call!

I recently received a call from this number, and a chap with a rather thick accent introduced himself as Raoul, claiming he was keeping an eye on my broadband service. When I pressed him about who my actual provider was, he quite rudely told me to "bog off" before abruptly ending the call. Quite mysterious, I must say!

Received a rather dubious call from this number earlier today. I was almost certain it was a scam, so I decided to have a bit of fun and kept the chap chatting for well over twenty minutes while I pretended to boot up my computer. They were quick to inform me that my device was running sluggishly, according to their fancy servers! After letting it do its regular backup and remarking on how "slow" it was, I went along with their instructions to access Teamviewer. However, I seemed to fumble about when trying to run it - I must have been clicking the wrong buttons or something! Then "Adam" offered me a rather dodgy URL - goo.gl/?????. At that juncture, I was feeling rather bored and fancied using my phone for something more productive. So, I cheekily told him I was onto his scam and had just wasted a good twenty minutes of his life, hoping to prevent him from pestering someone else. He abruptly hung up!

They contacted me claiming that my broadband was under their surveillance due to a virus infection. As a bit of a tech whiz myself, I can confidently say there’s absolutely nothing wrong on my end! Furthermore, there's no way they could ascertain my phone number or even be aware that I have broadband. Clearly, this is a scam!

I inquired whether they might provide me with complimentary broadband and a computer since I was without one. And you won't believe it-they just cut the line! Absolutely hilarious!

I can totally relate! It’s blatantly a scam! I gave them a piece of my mind, and bizarrely, they ended the call before I could really let loose!

Last night, I received a call from an Asian chap who introduced himself as Peter, and he rang again today about the same matter. I suggested he gives me a bell again and that my husband would have a chat with him. I suppose we'll see if he follows through on that.

I recently received a rather suspicious call from 01142360311, claiming to be technical support for my internet service. They mentioned that my computer is supposedly linked to their server, suggesting I could be infected with a virus. Curiously, when I inquired about their company, they rattled off several broadband providers, none of which I’m associated with. I quickly told them I was terminating the call. Is anyone else aware if this has been flagged to the appropriate authorities? This has been happening for quite some time now. It's odd they would even leave their number via 1471, don't you think?

I recently got a call from this number claiming to be technical support for my internet supplier, insisting they needed to do a scan on my computer. When I pressed them about which company they represented, they rattled off a list of names, none of which matched mine. Once I pointed that out, they seemed to lose interest and hung up. Just a heads-up to watch out for these con artists!

Received a call from this number, and it's evident it's nothing but a scam or phishing attempt. An Asian gentleman was on the line, saying he was from the "TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT OF YOUR BROADBAND CONNECTION." Funny enough, he didn’t bother to mention the name of any company! He proceeded to say, "There's an issue with your broadband connection!" To which I responded... pure nonsense! I don't even have broadband! Curiously, the line went silent after that. How very strange!

Received a call from them earlier today, and it was the same old spiel. When I inquired about the company’s name, they ended the call rather abruptly. I must admit, I was a bit curt, and I reckon they might have thought I was about to unleash a barrage of swearing! They introduced themselves as 'Jennifer', if that even is their real name.

I received a call from an Asian gentleman claiming to represent my internet provider. Curiously, when I inquired about which company he worked for, he mumbled something incoherent. When I pressed him for clarity, he eventually mentioned BT. Quite remarkable, considering I'm with Virgin for my fibre optic service and don't even have a BT line! The call abruptly ended after that. It's baffling why OFCOM can’t take action against such calls; surely they’ve got the means to trace the numbers and identify these callers!

Today, I received a call on my home phone from an Asian gentleman using the number 01142360311. He was insisting that there were issues with my server. When I requested him to clarify who he was addressing, he stumbled his words and seemed quite flustered. In the end, I had to tell him to get lost. What a thrill that was!

Just received a rather dubious phone call from this number claiming to be from my internet service provider. The caller didn’t identify themselves or mention my name, which immediately raised my suspicions. They proceeded to inform me that there was an issue in my vicinity and requested a moment of my time. I firmly declined. When I inquired where they were calling from, they huffily insisted they’d mentioned it at the start, though I knew for certain they hadn’t. Eventually, they claimed to represent both BT and Virgin, but I have no dealings with BT whatsoever. I made it clear that if I encounter any problems, I’d reach out to my actual provider directly, and I certainly wouldn’t entertain any discussions over the phone. My parents have also faced a barrage of such calls at their place, and it’s quite distressing to think how easily some folks might be taken in by these despicable fraudsters.

I received a call from the same number today. The woman claimed to be from TeamViewer and urged me to download their application. She asked for my ID and password, which struck me as odd. I decided to question her motives and told her I needed to consult my husband before proceeding. This seemed to infuriate her, as she started hurling insults at me before abruptly ending the call. Quite alarming, really!

Hello there, I had a similar encounter recently. Someone rang me, claiming to be from VirginNet; it took me a moment to cotton on. When I pressed him for details, he unleashed a volley of abuse and even made some rather worrying threats, mentioning my phone number and address! I've made a report to the police through their non-emergency line 101, as suggested.

I’ve also just submitted a report to ACTION Fraud, just as the police advised me. You can find them at http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/. Stay vigilant, everyone!

I've been receiving calls from this number for a couple of weeks now, but I've always been out when they ring. Today, however, I was at home and managed to chat with a chap who had a strong Indian accent, claiming he was affiliated with an internet security firm representing my broadband provider. He followed the same old script, saying there was an issue with my computer and all that nonsense. I asked him to tell me the name of my broadband supplier, but he just kept rambling on about this security company. When I pressed him a second time, the line went oddly silent before he abruptly ended the call. Upon reflection, I wish I’d toyed with him instead, just to see how long I could keep him on the line for my amusement.

Had a woman ring me at precisely 4:40 today, rattling off the same old spiel. When I asked her how I might confirm her identity, she seemed rather put out and flipped the question back at me! Quite the cheek! It became clear she was playing a game I had no intention of joining, so I ended the call. To be fair, her script was quite polished, and she seemed to know it off by heart. Oddly enough, the call came just moments after I had a chat with my broadband provider, which made it all the more believable. Quite the coincidence, wouldn’t you say?

I received a call from someone purporting to be from the tech department of Virgin Internet, inquiring whether I was satisfied with the speed of my connection. I mean, I was over the moon with it! Yet their tone seemed oddly lacking in enthusiasm; they thanked me and promptly ended the call. It's rather baffling, isn't it? These companies and their peculiar sales tactics seem like a total waste of time. I can't fathom how they expect to gain customers with such approaches!

I just received a rather dubious call from the number mentioned above, claiming to be from "Technical Support" regarding issues with my internet connection. When I insisted there were no issues, the caller insisted that "every time you log on, it indicates there are corrupted files on your device." I pressed for their company name, and the chap listed "Virgin Media, Talk Talk, BT, and Sky" all at once! At that point, I firmly told him he was chatting nonsense and not to call us again! Honestly, if I had a bit more spare time, I would’ve toyed with him for ages! 😄

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Sky, insisting that my broadband speed was sluggish and that they could eliminate any corrupted files. I pressed them about their affiliation with Sky, and they affirmed it twice. However, I became increasingly suspicious when they mentioned that my Norton antivirus wasn't compatible, and offered me a nine-year antivirus solution instead. I promptly told him where to go and ended the call. Afterward, I contacted Sky directly and discovered it was indeed a scam.

I was taken in by a right dodgy call claiming to be from TalkTalk. Upon contacting the real TalkTalk, they assured me it wasn’t them. It seems someone’s impersonating them to get into people’s computers and that’s just not on. I’m absolutely fuming! Time to look for a more trustworthy internet provider. Bye-bye, TalkTalk!

I received a call from this number on the 28th of March, 2013. The caller claimed to be from TalkTalk and mentioned there was an issue with the Internet in our area. They instructed me to visit www.teamviewer.com and to select the option for JOIN REMOTE CONTROL SESSION, asking me to provide them with a number displayed on the page, which I foolishly did. Shortly after, I noticed some unusual activity on my computer, which made me realise they had obtained access. The initial caller claimed he would escalate my case to a senior manager. Then another chap told me my computer was riddled with viruses. I asked him how that could be since I have NORTON antivirus installed. I expressed my doubts about the legitimacy of their call and asked for his name. He responded by swearing at me and threatening to damage my computer. I informed him that I would report his behaviour to the authorities and promptly hung up.

I nearly had a heart attack when my other half was on the verge of being duped - he actually reached the computer and was about to log onto some dodgy website the man with the Indian accent was pushing. Thankfully, I had a hunch it was a con and swiftly unplugged the phone. I'm left pondering what calamity might have unfolded had he proceeded with that site. They seem to have been persistent as well, ringing several times asking for Mrs Gleeson. I just tell them to hang on a mo, as she’s on her way, and then make sure to leave the phone be until they finally hang up. They called again this morning, on the 2nd of March 2013, at 11:10 AM.

I received a call from an Indian fellow claiming to be part of the tech support for multiple broadband providers. Quite curious, I asked him which ones he represented, and he listed off BT, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, and even BT again! Then he inquired about my internet connection and my computer. I simply replied that everything was running smoothly, and just like that, he hung up! Doesn’t strike me as a seasoned con artist, if you ask me!

I recently received a call from this number, and the chap on the other end had an unmistakable Indian accent. When I inquired about his name, he quite cheekily told me to "F**k off." I suspect that was far from his actual name, and it certainly gives me the impression that this is some sort of scam.
