Got an automated voice from HMRC warning me to ring back a number or else I'd be taken to court. They said an officer named Janice was involved. Felt like a proper scam to me.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft London and started giving me all sorts of complicated steps to do - which I didn’t bother with, but just pretended I did. Pretty obvious it was some kind of trick to get me to download stuff to hack my computer. At first, they asked to speak to my wife, but when I answered, they just carried on with me, which was a bit strange really.

Got a ring from this number claiming to be from HMRC. They said they were an agent and warned me not to ignore the call, threatening legal action if they didn’t get in touch with me or my solicitor. Thing is, I don’t even have a solicitor, lol.
