7 yearsDidn’t pick up but from what others are saying it’s Halifax. I dont have any account with Halifax tho and they just keep ringing me over and over 😴Halifax7 yearsMight be one of those bank fraud calls.8 yearsThey keep ringing but I never find out who’s calling, so I just let it go to voicemail now. Seen the comments here, but I’m not with any of the banks they mention. Plus, my bank only has my landline, not my mobile.9 yearsPestering nuisance! I’ve been bombarded by calls from various different numbers, all part of a dodgy scheme. They just won’t stop ringing!9 yearsI received a call from this number, purporting to be from Halifax collections. I decided to give Halifax a ring directly, and they verified that the call was indeed legitimate.Halifax10 yearsI received a call from this number, but unfortunately, I was unable to pick up at the time. When I attempted to return the call, they hung up on me four times! Quite suspicious, if you ask me.10 yearsI got a call from a Chinese lady claiming she was from Halifax. I didn’t share any info with her and instead reported it straight away to my bank.Halifax10 yearsI've got to say, this feels like nothing more than a scam. I reached out to Halifax to verify whether they'd attempted to get in touch with me, and it turns out they hadn't! Staying true to my old-fashioned ways, I made sure not to disclose any personal information. To further investigate, I decided to call the number from a burner phone, and lo and behold, a woman with an accent reminiscent of Sheffield’s Indian community picked up. So, take heed, everyone! This is clearly a con. It’s infuriating how these unscrupulous individuals prey on hard-working folks to line their own pockets. One might even think they deserve a severe reprimand for their actions! Stay savvy and don’t fall for their tricks!HalifaxSheffield10 yearsI’ve received a call from an Asian lady hailing from “Halifax,” inquiring about a certain Mr Chau’s bank details. Additionally, she was keen for me to verify the number she dialled, which was 08000720762. It’s all a bit dodgy if you ask me!HalifaxChau10 yearsThey also ring from 0800 0920762. An Asian lady wants to speak to someone called Mr Chau regarding a Halifax bank account. I’ve had loads of calls from these two numbers and blocked them both on my phone, but they just keep coming through. If Mr Chau is reading this, he really should sort these lot out!!!ChauHalifax10 yearsThey keep callin' sayin they're from the Bank of Scotland, then once I say who I am, they just drop the call. Proper pain in the neck! Wish there was a way to tell if it's legit when they team up like that.Bank of Scotland10 yearsI've received multiple calls from this number, and whenever I try to return the call, they simply disconnect! Quite puzzling, to say the least!10 yearsIt’s likely that Halifax is attempting to chase you for any outstanding payments. They seem determined to ring me incessantly, sometimes even at the most ridiculous hours, leaving numerous voicemails filled with chatter in the background. I’ve noticed they often dial from the number 08000 092 0762. What’s rather unsettling is when I receive calls from someone with a foreign accent claiming to discuss banking issues. I wasn’t inclined to share any personal details during that initial conversation, so I promptly hung up and blocked their number. Unfortunately, they continue to harass my landline, which is becoming thoroughly exasperating!Halifax10 yearsCould you kindly refrain from calling this number? Many thanks!10 yearsGot a call from this number, a very lovely lady named Miss Tamara Helicopter-Smith. She invited me to share some old cheddar chunks down at the Halifax branch on Walthamstow High Street, maybe with a few olives and a pint of cider on the side. Sadly, I had to turn it down coz I’m already tied up meeting ex Spurs player Vinny Samways, but honestly, it was a nice surprise to get the call. She had this boldness, like a proper onion aroma, and I reckon she’d be perfect for a study on folks who rock cardigans and worn-out wellies (probably with a dollop of chutney).Miss Tamara Helicopter - SmithHalifaxWalthamstow High StreetSpursVinny Samways10 yearsSome woman claimed she was from Halifax and said it was about my bank account. I told her I don’t share details on calls and asked them to send me a letter instead. When I tried calling back, the line just cut off. Pretty sure it’s a scam.Halifax Bank10 years01142235790 calling from Halifax collections. They rang me last week and again today. I didn’t give any details on the first call, so I went down to my local Halifax branch and they said everything was fine. Since Halifax is owned by Lloyd’s, they might use either name. Call seems legit.HalifaxLloyd ’ s10 yearsI'm absolutely fed up! It's driving me round the bend and giving me such a fright that I just want to tell them to clear off. They seem to think ‘no’ really isn’t an option. If just a couple of them get a whiff of any info, it’s like they’re on the hunt for a treasure trove!10 yearsGot a call on Saturday at about 8:30 in the morning. Some bloke said he was from Halifax and asked me to verify my address and DOB. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.Halifax10 yearsI received a call from this number earlier today. However, when I attempted to ring back, it only rang for a moment before they cut off. Quite odd, as it was supposedly from the Sheffield region. After having a look here, it appears they're associated with scams. I'm planning to notify my bank since others have reported these individuals posing as bank representatives. How on earth did they get hold of my details or my number?Sheffield10 yearsSomeone claiming to be from Halifax about my personal banking called me. I told them I don’t share details on calls. She tried giving me a number to ring back but said it so quick I couldn’t note it down, then said I should visit a branch. Nah, not doing that, if it’s really urgent they can send me a letter. Might be legit but better safe than sorry.Halifax Bank10 yearsGot a call from a number saying it was Halifax. An Asian lady with a strong accent asked for my private info and when I asked questions she just ended the call straight away. I tried ringing back but it just rings then cuts off. Definitely a scam!Halifax10 yearsHad a call from Halifax debt collectors today.Halifax10 yearsJust like others mentioned, this lady with an Asian accent wanted to talk to someone in the family about a banking problem with Halifax. I told her nobody was here and asked how I could be sure it was real, and she told me to visit the branch. Pretty clear it was a scam.Halifax10 yearsGot a call from this number and felt it was dodgy, cheers everyone for your advice.10 yearsWhen you find yourself in a bit of a pickle with Halifax regarding arrears or an overdraft, it’s the appropriate department that gets in touch. It’s perfectly normal for them to request your date of birth; it's part of their protocol to ensure they're speaking to the right person before diving into your account specifics. Rest assured, they’ll never ask you for your account numbers or PINs. If someone was trying to pull a fast one, they’d definitely ask for those sorts of details.Halifax10 yearsReceived a call this evening, and when I picked up, a lady with a strong accent claimed to be from Halifax. She started asking for my surname, date of birth, and postcode. I pointed out that she should already have my surname since she was the one calling me! At that, she abruptly hung up. Definitely a dodgy call, so I've blocked the number.Halifax10 yearsJust like loads of others, I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from Bank of Scotland and wanted my info. I told her I'd rather not and she said I could ring back or go to a branch nearby. Yeah right, no thanks.Bank of Scotland10 yearsDay in and day out, my phone is incessantly buzzing with calls-sometimes as many as three or four times a day! I pick up, and all I get is silence before they hang up. If I ignore the calls, they leave me voicemails filled with nothing but static and random noise. It’s beyond frustrating!10 yearsGot a call from an Asian lady saying she was with Halifax Bank. She asked a few security questions and then just dropped the call.Halifax Bank10 yearsJust like the person before me, got a missed call with no voicemail left and when I rang back, they just ended the call without saying anything.10 yearsI called back and they just ended the call without saying a word.10 yearsReceived a call purporting to be from Halifax. I requested they furnish me with their details first, as receiving a call on a Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock feels a bit off, doesn't it? The accent definitely had an Indian or Pakistani twang to it. Definitely seems a bit suspicious!Halifax10 yearsI recently received a phone call from this number, with the caller professing to be from the Bank of Scotland. They addressed me directly and requested that I verify my date of birth. I found it rather peculiar since I was actually in line at the bank at that moment, and the cashier had all my information before her. To top it off, the system didn’t show any record of calls that required follow-up. Quite suspicious, don’t you think? They ended the call abruptly after I mentioned that little detail!Bank of Scotland10 yearsThis woman with a strong accent, claiming to be from Halifax Building Society, has rung me quite a few times these last few months, asking for one of my coworkers. I'm the receptionist here and I always say he's not available. She gave me the number 08081450362 to call back, but he’s definitely not going to bother. I phoned Halifax direct and they said it wasn’t them. Apparently, they only work with companies outside the UK for debt collection, and those folks only contact you if a payment plan is nearly over - everything else they handle by letter.
