I got a call from this number around 8 pm, someone saying they were from Barclays wanting to 'update my online banking details'... They asked for my sort code, account number and DOB. I didn’t give anything away and asked why Barclays would ring so late about new services that would likely be on their site anyway. The caller paused and told me to check the number then said she’d call back. Since then I’ve seen loads of reviews saying this is a scam number. Definitely don’t answer or share any info with them.

Today this number rang me up claiming to be from Barclays and wanted my personal info for some "mobile banking" stuff. I didn’t trust it, so I ended the call straight away. Then I got in touch with Barclays myself and they confirmed it wasn’t one of their official numbers.

I had a rather dodgy call from this number earlier, purporting to be from Barclays, chatting about some new perks and features of the Mobile Banking App. It raised a few red flags for me when the caller requested my date of birth. I mean, if she genuinely worked for Barclays, surely she’d already have that information at her fingertips, right? Plus, if it was merely a marketing spiel, why on earth would she even need my security details? I swiftly informed her that I couldn't engage in conversation at that moment as I was busy with work commitments and asked her to ring back at a later time. To my surprise, she insisted that wasn’t possible and offered her apologies for the disruption. I urge everyone to steer clear of this number. Block it without hesitation!
