Absolute scam alert!! Don’t fall for that HMRC nonsense! They never ring mobiles with automated messages. If you had debts with them, they’d send proper letters or have real people on the phone, not some dodgy robot. This is just some con artist trying to empty your wallet! If you actually cough up money, it’s on you, seriously. I always contact them myself to be safe. Ended up blocking and reporting this number as risky. Best thing is to block these calls as soon as they come through! Keep your guard up, folks! ✌️

I had a similar experience, and when I enquired about the outstanding payment to the government, they requested my National Insurance number and name. It was when they probed for my address that I realised it was nothing more than a scam. If, as they claimed, legal actions were underway, they would surely already have my address on file! My advice? Block the number and steer clear of any communication with them.

Got a phone call from someone named Dennis Grey claiming to be from HMRC. It was really upsetting and felt like harassment. Honestly, this has got “scam” written all over it. From what I know, if you work for HM Revenue and Customs, you'd only ever get calls from a London number. Plus, they’d definitely not use some robot voice to contact you. Best thing is to just block and ignore any calls or voicemails from this number.
