One of the most annoying cold calls I've ever had. This bloke was so rude and kept ringing me about half a dozen times even after I'd told him to stop and take me off his list. He kept insisting I hear him out and just wouldn't accept 'no'. By the sixth call, I was proper made up and told him where to shove it. Honestly, the nerve of him left me fuming for ages after.

Got a call from some muppet today, told him I’m not interested but he calls back all like it’s not a sales pitch and says we’ve got £1600 for you!! He just kept talking over me so I asked if his firm is on the TPS and said I wanna speak to his manager, but he just wouldn’t stop yapping. In the end I just told him to piss off!!!!!!

I was promised a cheque for more than £1000 including VAT, but I told the caller he should be embarrassed trying to trick innocent folks. I said I knew he just wanted my personal info and then I hung up. Since this scam seems to be happening around Sheffield, why isn't there an official investigation to catch whoever's behind this?

They phoned me three times within five minutes. I nicely told them no the first time, then on the second call they started yelling at me. By the third call, the guy just called to call me an absolute idiot!!

Probably a scam or some dodgy PPI scheme - they kicked off saying there was an issue with my bank account, sounded like typical PPI rubbish. I asked which account they meant, and he said Barclays. I told him I don’t have an account there. Then he named a few more banks, and I said no to all of those as well. Next, he wanted to know which banks I actually use, but I told him I wasn’t sharing that and if he was really from my bank, he’d already know. After that, he just hung up.

I couldn’t quite catch the name of the company but the guy said I’d be getting a letter soon about a refund for some old financial stuff. Then he asked for some personal info upfront. When I asked what finances he meant, he mentioned credit card, mortgage and car loans. I told him that’s not possible since I’m only 21 and never had any of those, so why would I be owed a refund? He just ended the call straight away, clearly hoping I wouldn’t ask any questions before handing over my details!

I got a call about some financial claim, but the connection was terrible - all crackly and dropping out. She mentioned the company but I couldn’t catch the name properly. She said she was sending a letter in the post and kept going on about making a claim, just the standard spiel. I wasn’t very polite and ended up hanging up. They rang straight back but I just answered and hung up again. I’ve blocked the number now.
