Just received the very same text message not long ago. This time, I happen to be with Orange on a monthly payment plan. It all seems quite dodgy, doesn't it? Big up to the folks at Spam Cop for looking into this. We checked the message details and the number behind it is +4477850160005.

Text Message: "Dear customer, you’re eligible for your complimentary 3G upgrade! Just ring 01142070227 to receive a new 3G phone and take advantage of extra X-Network Minutes. This offer wraps up on the 26th November." Who is behind this? It doesn't seem to align with our provider, O2.

We've received the exact same message today as well. I'm currently with O2 through Carphone Warehouse.

Received my call at precisely 12:44:49. I'm currently on a monthly plan with Orange, and the number displayed was that of their service centre. I doubt we’ll be giving them a ring back. Honestly, we might as well add an iPhone to our Christmas wish list for Santa instead!

I received precisely the same message, only this one mentions that the sale wraps up on 29th November. Just thought to mention I'm on a pay-as-you-go plan with Orange.

Hi there! Just wanted to share my thoughts. I've noticed the same message popping up, and I'm on an 18-week contract with Orange. To be honest, it all feels pretty dodgy to me. I’d advise against making any purchases here!

I’m using an Orange pay-as-you-go plan, and I’ve noticed that these folks mentioned the 6th of December. Honestly, it wouldn't shock me if they somehow obtained my number through my SIM provider, which is quite dodgy, if you ask me. It certainly feels like they might be profiting from this in some way. I'm genuinely relieved that we took the time to investigate this!

I've just experienced the same thing and I'm definitely steering clear of it. I’m with Orange on a monthly plan.

We just received this call today, and it still shows that the sale finishes on the 29th of November. Quite odd! It seems to be exactly the same as what’s been mentioned HERE! Big thanks to the search engine that led me to this site, and cheers to everyone who took the time to share their comments! To the spam authorities in the UK: “It doesn’t really matter who he claimed to be calling; we find it hard to believe he was reaching out to Grace, especially with that pronounced foreign accent - Grace sounds too much like a Western name.” But really, names like Grace, Gale, or Eric are all ‘Christian’ names. There are countless Christians across India with such Western-sounding names who also speak with a heavy accent!

I find myself in a similar situation - I'm on an Orange monthly plan. Shouldn’t one of my emails be linked, considering these individuals could easily be blocked?

We decided to note down the number and then hopped over to this site to investigate. I had my suspicions that it might be a scam of some kind, especially since we’re tied to an old Orange and Virgin contract. Honestly, it's ancient and we hardly ever receive any signal.

I've just received a similar message myself. As someone on Orange pay-as-you-go, I have no idea where this has originated from or how they acquired our numbers. It's clear these individuals aren't about to hand out free 3G phones to anyone. So, don't get taken in by it! And, surprise surprise, the offer expires today, the 27th of November, no less! Can people really be gullible enough to fall for this nonsense?! Just wanted to say how much I appreciate this site. Keep up the fantastic work!

Received a call from the same number at 17:25. Rather curious, isn’t it?

What’s all the fuss about? It’s not as if it’s going to blow up in your face! If it's not your cup of tea, simply don’t bother giving it a ring, yeah?

For heaven's sake, don't make us dash all the way there! What a bunch of numpties. Free call, is it now? Absolute nonsense!

Received a text promoting a 3G upgrade. This is definitely not from our service provider, which is 02. Besides, our phone is already 3G compatible. We’d appreciate it if these numbers could be blocked. It's rather concerning how they obtained our details, especially since we’ve registered to avoid spam communications via mail and phone.

We're feeling rather concerned about this SevCentre message. How on earth did they obtain our number, and what's the process for lodging a complaint?

Last night, we received the same message and we're also with Three Mobile! I decided to call using the office phone to avoid any charges on my mobile, but was immediately placed on hold. We ended up hanging up since no company was identified. Seriously, what is the deal with this nonsense?!

We received the same text message earlier today. It's definitely a scam, so don't be taken in by it. The message is rather unclear, which raises our suspicions. If you’re uncertain at all, just give it a miss!

It’s rather chuckle-inducing that we’re perusing this on our old iPhone 3G! How wonderfully nostalgic!

We've just received a message today. The offer wraps up on 5th December. It's regarding a pay-as-you-go Orange SIM that was previously under contract. The message mentioned contacting the Service Centre.
