Got a call from some muppet claiming to be from Sheffield, but all that came through was silence. We don’t know anyone there, and since they didn’t bother leaving a message, looks like another one of those dodgy scam calls. Going to report this number to Ofcom right away.

Received an utterly bizarre silent call from some jokester claiming to be from Sheffield. I don’t have anyone in Yorkshire, and our line is registered with the Telephone Preference Service and is ex-directory. Clearly a scam or fraudulent call. I've since blocked the number and filed a report with Ofcom.

I've noticed that when this number calls, there's always a deafening silence on the other end and absolutely nothing left on the answering machine. To be honest, we don't have any acquaintances in Yorkshire, and our number is private and registered with the Telephone Preference Service. So, I reckon it’s a scam call. Best to be wary of this number!
