On Friday morning around 10, my landline rang and when I answered, there was nothing but silence on the other end. The number seemed a bit dodgy, so I added it to my landline’s block list to stop it ringing again. Checking this site just proved my suspicions right.

Received a call yesterday but they just hung up when I picked up. Today, the same number rang and a bloke answered, claiming to be from APC about my washing machine insurance running out. He launched into a spiel about paying £66 a year, said it was a great deal and mentioned monthly direct debits as an option. I told him I was wary of scams and asked if he could ring back on Monday when my husband would be there. I've since blocked the number using BT Call Protect.
