I had the exact same experience. A number popped up showing Leeds, it rang a couple of times and when I picked up, it just got disconnected. So, I called them back. After a few rings, an American guy answered, all chipper and saying something like "your call is important" with this really cheerful, almost Disney-style hold tune in the background. I wasn't having any of it, ended up hanging up after a few minutes.

On Wednesday 14th May 2014, I got a call from this number just after 8pm. A bloke with a Liverpool accent asked if he was speaking to Mr (my surname). When I said I was, he just ended the call right away. Curious, I rang the number back straight away but there was no ringing. Instead, it went straight to some hold music with a female American voice popping up every now and then saying something like "Your call matters to us, please keep holding." Proper odd.
