Got these random callers who just buzz for about 20 seconds then hang up. Now I’ve started ignoring anything that doesn’t ring for at least 25 seconds, otherwise I just don’t pick up.

I thought this number was legit since it seemed harmless at first, my mistake really. I can just make out some noise in the background, but can’t tell what language it is. Doesn’t really matter anyway, they always end the call as soon as I pick up. I’m figuring out now that strange numbers usually ring for about 20 seconds before hanging up.

watch out for calls from india with really long numbers like 019524959265, i tried looking it up but it just says invalid number every time. be careful with stuff like this.

I really wish there was a free site that could not just tell you if a number’s spam but also show the actual company name. This 3 887 3898 keeps calling and it should already be on my block list - when will they ever get it? What’s weirder is I’ve had Indian call centres ring me from UK numbers, which is just confusing!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Safe Style Solutions; he said he wanted to ask me a couple of quick questions. I've heard that kind of line too many times before, so I just ended the call.

That was totally a scam, tried to trick me for sure.

I always just let calls from numbers I don't know go to voicemail. If it's really something important, they’ll leave a message, right? My rule is if you don’t recognise the number, just wait and see if a voicemail pops up. If nope, it's probably some cold caller or scammer, so I just block it. Way too many dodgy calls these days to take any risks.
