Got a couple of calls today from 0113 8685210, said it was HMRC on the line. I picked up the first one, but when they rang back I just let it ring out. Pretty sure it was one of those automated calls.

Got a robo call with a warning about court stuff and telling me to ring back on another number, but with the same area code. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, but it was this robotic American voice warning me they’d take legal action against me in county court. Definitely sounded like a scam.

I’m a bit confused, but this American-sounding robot voice said that some organisation called hmrs was looking into a fraud case against me. I just hung up straight away. I almost called back, and then some bloke with a funny accent said he was from hm or something. It was obvious a scam from the start, and he actually got annoyed when I started chuckling. Total scam, no doubt about it.
