On the 5th of October 2020, this number 0113 868 3234 rang me up. I didn’t answer properly, just caught loads of background noise before they hung up. Felt like the same sort of calls I’ve been getting lately - all about trying to get me to put money into some scheme. Was getting really fed up with another caller who just wouldn’t listen when I said no. Ended up telling him to jog on and then I slammed the phone down. Such a pain!

I've had a few calls from what seemed like Leeds numbers, all pretty similar. A woman with an Eastern European accent was on the line, and there was this super loud music or radio playing behind her. Definitely felt like a scam. She kept saying I wasn’t being charged for the call like she was doing me some kind of favour or something. Claimed to be from some place called Mint Investments or something close to that. I just told her to get lost.

Got a call from a boiler room guy claiming he could help me profit from stocks. He was really pushy and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Plus, his heavy accent made it hard to follow what he was saying.

I picked up and said "hello," then the bloke just swore at me and slammed the phone down.

He kept refusing to give his name. There was music playing softly and I could hear other voices on the line also making calls like this. He kept pestering me asking who I was, and I just told him ‘why don’t you tell me first, since you rang me?’ Felt like he was trying to turn it into some sort of guessing game. Pretty odd, if you ask me.
