Got a call earlier today and the voicemail said my Amazon Prime account was hacked and someone bought something for £350 (I don’t even have Prime!). They told me to press 1 to contact their fraud team - sure, like I’m gonna do that! Then it went quiet before some American voice came on saying my loan for $10,000 got approved and to press 1 to go on with the application. Honestly, do these muppets really think we’re that daft?

this morning i got a call from this number saying there was a £350 charge on my amazon prime and if it wasn’t me to hit option 2, but if it was me to press 1. i didn’t press anything since i thought the call itself was dodgy! after a bit of silence, a recorded voice came on saying my loan request of $10,000 had been accepted and to press 1 to go ahead. seemed totally fishy to me.
