Most likely MMF - these are just some dodgy ex-prisoners running a racket. They snap up debts for pennies, like 10% of what’s actually owed, then try to milk you for the full amount plus added fees. Doesn’t matter if you were even the one they targeted to begin with. Just a bunch of reckless opportunists. Best thing is to not engage with them at all, just blow them off. Forget about these muppets. They’re fools for wiping out your original debt in the first place. Legally, once the debt is sold on, the original contract is no longer valid. This phone rings come from a call centre inside a prison in Leeds. They’re ringing about stuff like accident claims, insurance offers and surveys, all done by prisoners with the government’s approval. Up to you if you wanna share your info with them or not, but I personally said no.
