Both seemed to be from so-called 'energy consultants', so I’m guessing it’s one of those typical scams run by a boiler-room operation.

Spam calls rarely make it through my BT call guardian on my landline, which I really recommend. Once spammers realise you’ve got it, they usually stop bothering you. These days, I hardly get any nuisance calls on my landline. I also use the t####er app on my iPhone, which works pretty well for blocking unwanted calls. (No affiliation with BT or t####er, just sharing what’s worked for me.) Hopefully this helps others too!

Got a call from nationwide about some government plan to help me cut up to £800 off my heating bills. Another solar panel offer, but it costs nearly as much as you'd save putting them up on your roof in the first place. Proper fed up with these calls when I’m barely scraping together money for fuel or have to be really choosy with my food shopping anyway. Where exactly am I supposed to find the cash upfront? Just about getting by? That’s me. No pay increase in a decade.
