So, quick update: this number called me again and it turns out it’s a web designer who uses a virtual number to forward calls to his phone. He seemed pretty decent, actually. I take back what I said about it being suspicious. I’m not sure how to get the number off the list, so just thought I’d share this follow-up here.

Got a missed call from what seemed like a landline in Leeds, UK. I tried calling back, and instead of a ring, there was a weird message saying something like "the number you’re calling knows you’re waiting," then the phone rang a few times before a voicemail from Vodafone kicked in. I didn't hang around to hear the whole message and just ended the call. Feels like they've masked some other number behind the 0113 code. Why would anyone bother doing that? Sounds pretty fishy if you ask me.
