Fed up with these bothersome phone calls that I never asked for!

There was quite a bit of din in the background, typical of a bustling call centre. A chap named Kevin claimed to be from BT Openreach; he brought up some problems regarding my internet connection.

Picked up at 5:38 in the evening, no one said a word and then they just hung up.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, she said it was from Domestic & General. Told me my washing machine's warranty was up. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a text from an Indian woman saying I could get £75 voucher if I confirmed my name and phone number, link was in the message. I clicked it but it seemed fishy, so I deleted the message and blocked the number straight away. Definitely a scam.

Got called about some washing machine insurance I never signed up for. Total con, seemed like a scam to me. Watch out!

They said they were from BT outreach or something, but I just ended the call. They've called me a couple more times since then, but I'm just not picking up anymore.

Got a call on my landline at about 8:15 this morning, answered and no one was there. Checked the number 01138214031 on 1471 and it’s a scam.

I never answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise, I only pick up if the caller ID shows a name I trust.

Got a call from this number earlier. They mentioned something about my Amazon account and told me to press 4 to speak with someone. I didn’t touch anything and just waited for them to end the call. Definitely a scam.

Got a call around 9:50 this morning. Could hear what seemed like a busy call centre in the backround with people saying “hello, hello” repeatedly. Nobody actually talked to me though, so I just hung up.

Got a call earlier today, answered it but there was nothing but silence, then the call just ended. I looked up the number online and couldn’t link it to any company or service. Feels like one of those dodgy spam calls, which is annoying since I’m on the TPS list to avoid these kinds of nuisance calls.

Got a call at 10.06am, with a busy office noise in the background, then a guy with an Asian accent named Kevin said he was from BT Openreach. He claimed there were problems with my broadband line, but before I could ask anything, the call just dropped. He sounded quite jittery. I haven’t had any issues with my internet nor have I contacted BT Openreach or any internet provider about faults. Seeing the other reviews about this number - from old tenants to appliance insurance offers - I’m convinced it’s some kind of scam.

So this number rang me and wanted me to verify my phone number. After that, I got a text saying I could get a £75 wine voucher. Didn’t trust it at all, didn’t press any links, just deleted the message straight away and blocked the caller.

Got a call today, Wednesday 15th January at about 10:15am from a bloke named Max Jordan with a strange accent. He asked if my bank card had made the TiVo payment. I told him it had, but actually it hadn’t. Then, he just hung up on me. Really odd experience.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, kept asking about the last person who had this number, said it was about two years ago. When I asked who they were, they refused to say both times. Quite odd, really.

There was a bit of a lag before she talked, maybe because it was an international line. A polite lady with an Indian accent asked if I was Mr xyz - which I am, though I first asked who she was. She told me she was ringing from either Domestic & General or Legal & General (can’t quite recall now) about my washing machine insurance that’s supposedly expired. We don’t have any insurance on that appliance, so I figured it was a spam call. I told her we’re already insured and then ended the call.

I picked up and there was no one speaking, but you could tell from the background noise it was coming from some sort of call centre, definitely not nearby.

Got a call from an asian call centre wanting to talk to the last person who had this number. Thing is, we’ve had it for nearly 3 years now. They were polite enough, but as soon as i told them to take me off their calling list, they just ended the call straight away.
