Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be my mortgage provider, but they never mentioned which one. Bit strange, you'd think they'd say the company name if it was legit.

I've got this number on my block list, yet they went ahead and left a message claiming I'm about to be served with legal papers in the next hour… what a load of nonsense! How do I put an end to this rubbish?

That’s quite peculiar! I submitted my message at 19:05, but it’s displaying as if it was posted at 11:05. I was under the impression this was a UK-based platform. Am I mistaken?

I’m quite fed up with this situation now. I've received calls from three separate numbers linked to this cold calling nuisance. The callers claim to be from my mortgage provider, urging me to ring them back on 0330 159 4436. At times, they present it as a courtesy call, while other times they simply insist that I contact them immediately with my mortgage account details. The other two numbers that have reached out are 01138 200 797 (from Leeds) and 01274 840 999 (from Bradford). Those 0330 numbers are, frankly, a nightmare when it comes to pinpointing a location, and they're often exploited by dodgy firms who wish to remain under the radar. I suspect this might be some company trying to peddle a scheme to help you pay off your interest-only mortgage. It’s quite clear they’ve acquired information about your mortgage type with the intention of selling you a related service. Just a heads up - it’s not your actual mortgage lender reaching out, so no need to panic! If it truly was my mortgage company, I can’t imagine they’d reach out in such a manner; a proper letter would suffice, or at least a call to my landline, not a message to a mobile number that could easily change hands or even be inactive. I’ve been receiving these calls every month since March, with the first ones cropping up almost a year ago. If it was genuinely “urgent” or of importance, I would have received information via post, or at least when my annual mortgage statement arrived. Sometimes they do use my name, but the latest caller didn’t. I hope we’re not heading towards them harassing me daily now. They are quite underhanded - I’ve managed to block various numbers linked to these calls, and every time they’re sent straight to the auto-reject list, they simply switch to a different number just to leave a message on my mobile. They can’t leave a voice message if they use any numbers that I’ve blocked, and this tactic is just sneaky behaviour. I often get pairs of calls where one gets auto-rejected within a minute of the other reaching my voicemail, and I find myself constantly adding to the blocked list. It’s all rather tiresome, to be honest.

It seems this lot is attempting to pitch you a plan to manage your interest-only mortgage. They've likely obtained your mortgage type details from some source in order to sell you something related. But, trust me, it’s NOT your mortgage provider reaching out, so no need to panic. If it were genuinely my mortgage company, I’d expect a letter or, at the very least, a call on my landline, not some message on a mobile number that could easily belong to someone else or be defunct. These calls have been monthly since March this year, while they’ve been hounding me for around a year now. If it was truly "urgent", I’m confident they would inform me via written correspondence or during my annual mortgage review. They occasionally use my name, but today’s caller neglected to do so. I’m just hoping they don’t escalate to daily calls now. They’re quite CUNNING - I’ve blocked various numbers that they’ve called from, and every time my auto-reject kicks in, they simply switch to a different number to leave a message on my mobile. Because they can't leave a message using any numbers on my Auto Reject List, it feels rather underhanded. I frequently receive pairs of calls, with the second one nearly immediately following the one that gets rejected, leading me to keep adding to my block list. It’s exhausting!

Received a call from this number earlier, but when I picked up, there was complete silence on the other end. Rather curious, so I decided to call back, and it turned out to be NRAM/Bradford and Bingley. Quite odd, isn’t it?

When we rang the number again, we discovered it belongs to a mortgage company. They prompted us to press 1 for NRAM, 2 for Bradford and Bingley, and so on.
