Someone pretended to be from British Gas and when I informed them I wasn't interested, they carried on speaking, which makes me wonder if it was a pre-recorded message.

I keep receiving calls repeatedly, all from different digits, but it’s clearly the same call centre. They constantly ask for a person I don't recognise— never had any connection to this number, mind you! I've requested them to cease their calls yet they persist, so I've just gone ahead and blocked every single one of them. Honestly, it’s infuriating!
