The person calling wouldn’t say who they were but somehow already had my full name. They said it was about a survey, but I’m not sure if that was true or not.

I received a call purportedly from Beneficial, and the caller was keen to know if I could spare a few moments to answer some queries. When I inquired about how they obtained my number, especially considering I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, they abruptly terminated the call.

I picked up the phone but there was silence on the other end, and then the call just dropped. Seemed dodgy, so I blocked the number. When I rang back, it was some outfit called GBS trading as AGE, but I ended the call straight away. These lot are proper scammers, always ringing from different numbers trying to do surveys - really just looking to scam you out of your info. Definitely best not to get involved with them.

It's really not worthwhile. Those making such calls are often minor life insurance firms looking to gather your personal information to sell on later.

What a waste of time, filling out that survey. Everything you share there ends up being sold all over, and they use it to scam you or push rubbish overpriced stuff. Honestly, I don’t know how she didn’t get the 'leave me alone' message.

I hit decline when the number rang, then they went ahead and left a voicemail where you can definitely make out them saying “F*** you.” Couldn’t catch much else around the voice, but that bit was loud and clear.
