It really annoys me when I get a call and they ask for me by my old name from before I got married seven years back. Whenever they look for my "former self," I just reply with, "She’s passed away," and leave it at that! :-)

This lot contacted me claiming that I had been in a car accident-one that I certainly wasn’t responsible for-two years back. They assured me they could assist in retrieving my insurance compensation. To make matters worse, they insisted I fill out a form with details about this fictitious incident that never even took place. Absolute nonsense!

Picked up just as the phone rang a third time. Didn’t say a word right away and sure enough, the call got cut off. Probably one of those marketing or scam robocalls that blast out heaps of numbers and only send someone through if someone actually picks up.

Got an email from some legal firm saying I'd been in an accident and that my info was on some insurance list, supposedly given by a 'daily member'. They kept pushing me to name other family members who might've shared my details. They said they had a report about the accident but wouldn’t say what it was about. When I rang them back, the person was really curt and rude. I’ve already put in a complaint with Ofcom.

Lately, I've been getting tons of calls from all sorts of fake numbers, some even from abroad, all asking if I'm on benefits with automated voices. This one was different though, it was a real person, but still asked the same thing, especially about our boiler. I just hung up straight away.
