just got one of those silent calls, probably a scam or something dodgy, really annoying!

Whenever I pick up the phone and there's that awkward pause, I get really wary - sounds like one of those call centre things with loads of auto-diallers that switch to a person once you answer. This time, the woman said she was from TalkTalk. I quickly told her she was having a laugh trying to scam me, and then she just ended the call.

Got a call from a lady who spoke with an Indian accent, said just a couple words then went silent. Might be linked to that ongoing BT line fraud thing. Really don’t get why no one’s doing anything about it.

I keep getting calls from a female voice, clearly a recording, saying she’s from b.t.'s tech support and that if i want to keep my broadband i should press one or two. I’ve just been ignoring it but the calls have started come more often, really getting on my nerves. When i end the call, i check the number by dialling 1471, and the number shows up on my screen. Oddly, when they ring again, the number is different, and it changes with every call. Can anyone tell me what’s going on? Cheers.
