Got hit with the same thing, just a load of scammy arseholes trying to mess people about.

Got a call supposedly from the National Crime Agency saying my national insurance number was linked to some crime and they wanted to put me through to an officer. Checked the NCA’s official site and it says these kinds of calls aren’t real at all. The NCA doesn’t ring people about their bank accounts or NI numbers, so best just to hang up.
