This number rang my house phone and a guy with a strange accent tried selling me an emergency pendant alarm to wear in case something happened. He claimed it was worth £300 but that I could get it free. Then he asked for my direct debit details, which I didn’t give him. Weirdly, he also had my old address from like seven years ago. I ended the call pretty quick. Afterwards, I checked the number on this Who Called Me site and found someone else had the exact same story. Honestly, it feels like another one of those scams going around.

Rang the landline but nobody answered on the other side.

I wasn’t too sure if it was a scam or not, but this woman called and said my doctors had asked her to ring me about an Emergency Alert Alarm necklace, worth more than £300, which they’d give me for free. However, she said I’d have to pay £29.99 every month to cover the Police, Hospital or Fire Service. When I asked how I’d make the payments and she mentioned Direct Debit, I ended the call straight away.
