A group knocked on my door about energy deals, and they got me to sign up for something. I've just had this number call me back, and now I'm starting to think it was all a scam. They said they were from an energy company, but I'm not convinced at all.

I got a call from a guy claiming he could lower our dual fuel costs, sounded pretty convincing at first. But when I tried looking up the company, there was absolutely nothing about them online. Foolishly, I rang back and they called me again asking for my bank info. I gave it to them but never got the email they promised. I've now told my bank and they’re looking into it.

Some folks from an electric company came round and asked for my account number and sort code, like really? No way was I gonna hand over my bank info just like that at my doorstep. So this was apparently a callback from someone who had just come round to my place a bit earlier. They claimed to work for a small electric firm, but when I looked them up, there was no sign of the company anywhere. I never consented to anything or shared any personal details about the people living here. After that, the call got all scratchy like the line was cutting out, and then they just hung up. They haven’t called again since. Feels like it was some sort of scam to me.
