Utter nonsense, this phone number has no ties to Scottish Power whatsoever. Take heed, the individual who commented before me is likely one of the fraudsters linked to this number.

Some bloke called saying he was ringing from a different firm but actually for the energy company. I gave out my dob and address, caught me off guard. Later I rang Shell myself to verify and they said they never tried to contact me. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I verified my residential address, and they informed me that an energy provider had reached out regarding the meter. They also mentioned the meter readings in our conversation.

Got a call from someone saying they were from EDF checking meter readings. They asked for my address, saying it was for security reasons, and also wanted to know when would be a good time to come by. I checked with EDF and Morrisons Data Services (who actually handle these readings) and neither recognised the number. Seems dodgy to me, so I'd advise against giving out any details because it smells like a phishing scam.

Received a call claiming to be from EDF energy, asking if I could provide my electricity meter reading. Clearly a phishing attempt! Make sure to block that number!
