I received a rather suspicious call on my Vodafone mobile from this number. It was a lady on the line, promising a 20% reduction on my current Vodafone plan. When I showed interest in her offer, she handed me over to a chap who introduced himself as Zack, claiming to be a manager calling from Vodafone in Newbury. However, I couldn’t help but notice that the area code belonged to Leeds. He mentioned I could save on my bills but then asked for my "security details," including my name and email address. I pointed out that he should already know my name, considering the nature of the call. The conversation ended with me deciding to contact Vodafone directly to verify the information. Turns out, they confirmed it was not standard practice for them to make such calls and certainly not to push unsolicited offers. It’s become clear that this was a scam attempt. On a side note, both individuals had accents that didn't sound British at all.
