Received a phone call this morning from someone claiming to be with my mobile provider, but they couldn’t even muster the name of the company. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Answered the phone and they just cut me off straight away. I’d been dodging calls all morning from 07487 117076 and another Leeds one, +44 113 534 7864. Found out that Leeds number’s been flagged on here before as a con trying to pass itself off as a mobile network, so no surprises really.

Got a robocall saying I needed to press 1 to get through to Customer Services because my card had supposedly been charged £799 by Amazon. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. The weird amount really gave it away - who charges something like £799 instead of a more usual sum like £5, £100 or something? Total scam. Plus, I’m on the TPS list so they weren’t even allowed to ring me in the first place.
