I received a call from a rather dubious-sounding woman claiming to represent Vodafone. She raised quite a few red flags in my mind!

When I picked up the phone, there wasn't a single word uttered.

This was definitely a rip-off.

Got a call outta the blue, but it was just another spammer trying their luck.

Missed another call from this number today, so I decided to check it out. The first caller said they were from Manchester, but this time it was Leeds - weirdly both turned out to be the same sort of thing. I've just blocked the number now.

It turned out to be a complete scam.

I kept quiet and just ended the call after a few seconds since nothing was said. Total time waster, honestly.

I picked up and the caller said she was "Anna from EE." When I tried to find out who she was trying to reach, she just kept saying "Anna from EE." After I kept asking who exactly they wanted, she ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying they could lower my monthly charges. I wasn’t having any of it and refused to share my bank info over the phone. The dialling code showed as Leeds with 0113 534 2261.

Got a call but it took ages to pick up, so I ended up just hanging up and blocking the number. Definitely felt like a scam.

They just stayed quiet for a bit and then ended the call real quick.

Got a call supposedly from Three Network claiming they could give me 35% off my next bill. I asked them how much my previous bill was, but they had no clue. Then I asked for my name, and again, they didn’t have an answer. So I just ended the call there.

I’ve always thought 0113 was a Leeds area code, but turns out it never was! Quite surprising, really.

I had a ring from a number starting 0113, looked it up and then just ended up blocking them straight away. Better not to pick up those calls, they’re probably dodgy.

Total scam! Don’t trust it at all.

Be careful, a lady rang me pretending she was from O2. Sounds like a scam if you ask me.

My mobile buzzed but since I didn’t recognise the number, I just ignored it. The caller hung up without even leaving a message. Sounds like another annoying spam call to me. I’ve seen what others said about this number and have gone ahead and blocked it now.

So what happens is they ship out mobiles, iPads, and loads of other gadgets straight to your place, and you ring the number they gave you, thinking you’ve paid for all this gear. Then they tell you to send it all back and say you’ll get the phone you actually wanted. But that phone? Never shows up. When you try to call back, the line just goes dead. Honestly, it’s a massive con and they make a fortune from it.

Answered the phone and they just hung up on me. I rang back to check and the person said it was the wrong number. Pretty clear it’s some kind of scam.

Just came across something about this fraud going on - some guy in Lahore with a crew who’re targeting mostly O2 users, though they might have other numbers and addresses bought from the dark web too. They promise to slash your phone bill to a ridiculously low price and say they'll send a new handset if you provide a code sent to your phone. But if you give them that code, they use it to get into your bank account by asking the bank to send a new password, pretending you’ve forgotten yours. Proper dodgy stuff.

I never pick up numbers I don’t recognise, but I always look them up on ‘who called me from’ first. If it seems dodgy or spammy, I just block the number straight away. Just done exactly that now!

Got a spam call on my phone from a woman claiming to be with EE. I just let her go on for a bit, and then she suddenly asked, "Hello, can you hear me?" After pausing for a moment, I told her, "If you’re wasting my time, I’m gonna do the same to you." She ended the call straight away.

Got a dodgy call from someone saying they were O2, offering a 30% cut on my bill. They said they’d send a code to my mobile to activate it or something. Sounded fishy to me!
