Sounds like a scam to me. They claimed to be from Curry’s PC World but when I asked how they had my number, they just said it was from a mate. Bit fishy if you ask me.

That Leo Burnett lot are total scammers. I keep receivin loads of messages on my WhatsApp from random folks, all trying to get me to throw money at some dodgy investments. Proper annoying!

Someone rang me claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse and began quizzing me about my mobile contract. I told them I use a Moto Razr on Orange pay as you go, but then they put me through to another sketchy group pretending to offer me an iPhone, just trying to fish for personal info. Proper dodgy tactic.

Got a call from a Leeds number, this lady with an Indian accent said she was calling from Three. She was trying to sell me a free iPhone upgrade or something and kept asking what phone I currently have. Told her I doubted she really worked for Three and then she just ended the call.

When I get a call from a number not saved in my contacts, I usually just wait for the person to say something first. If the call ends suddenly like this one did, and my phone shows it might be a scam, I just block the number straight away. Real callers tend to say something, so it’s an easy way to tell.
