I received an email regarding a renewal scam that included a number linked to an unknown Gmail account. Oddly enough, they boasted that the number was “toll-free,” but trust me, it isn't! Just steer clear of this email. They’re trying to trick you into believing you must pay for a renewal of your Norton or similar service. Don’t fall for it!

Just received a dodgy email claiming they’ve pulled £129 from my account for a Norton subscription renewal. Definitely sounds like a scam to me! Beware, everyone!

I received a dodgy email purporting to be from Norton, requesting £129.99 for a supposed renewal of my antivirus subscription. It claimed I needed to ring a number to prevent the payment from going through. I've stumbled upon a plethora of these scams online. The modus operandi typically involves them persuading you to log into your computer, only to present a fraudulent screen that suggests they’ve refunded you a whopping £500. Then, they’ll insist it was an error and pressure you to wire them back the excess. Truth be told, they're just yanking your chain - you never got that £500 in the first place!
