Got a dodgy email about a renewal, came from some random Gmail account and it had a phone number they said was “toll free” - but it definitely isn’t. Don’t fall for it, they’re trying to trick you into paying for some fake Norton or other service renewal. Just ignore it completely.

I got an email claiming I needed to renew my Norton antivirus subscription for £129.99. It said I had to ring a number to stop the payment. I've come across plenty of these scams online. They usually want you to log into your PC, then they display a fake screen showing a refund - typically about £500. Then they say because it was sent in error, you have to send the overpaid amount back to them. The truth is, they never actually sent you any refund at all.
