I received a rather alarming call from a number claiming to be Microsoft, insisting that I should ring them back lest my computer be disabled. They went so far as to threaten that turning off my device would result in me being locked out of it entirely. However, I decided to ignore the scare tactics, shut my computer down, and to my relief, I was able to power it back up without a hitch. Just wanted to share this in case it can assist anyone else caught in the same predicament!

I've recently experienced a barrage of alerts and warnings regarding my IP address being compromised. It’s quite unsettling, to be honest! However, like you, I went ahead and shut everything down, and thankfully things appear to be back to normal.
