I got a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft, warning me that my computer would get blocked if I didn’t call back. They also said turning it off would lock me out completely. Funny thing is, I just switched it off and on again and everything worked fine. Thought I’d share in case it saves anyone else a panic!

Just had those same warnings popping up saying my IP address was being used. It’s pretty frightening but like you, I ended up shutting everything down and so far, no problems.
