I've just come across a dubious email that seems to be trying to pull a fast one on me. For the record, I don't even use PayPal! So here's the gist of it: Apparently, some chap named Jody Crisostomo has sent me a request for funds. The message reads: "Dear user, we've detected some questionable activity on your account. If you didn't initiate this transaction, please ring us at +44 11 3526 5703 to cancel it and request a refund. Otherwise, you'll see a deduction of £599.00 from your account today, courtesy of our automated payment system. This charge will be visible in your PayPal activity within the next 24 hours." As for the payment details, they've thrown in a Transaction ID - U-8FM58975907743331, and it supposedly dates back to December 1, 2022. It's all rather fishy, to say the least!

I've just copied this straight from an email. Seems to be from PayPal. I checked my account, and nothing has appeared, so I won’t be ringing that number at all.
