It was definitely some sort of automated call that came through a few times because I didn’t answer yes or no, just kept saying, “Hello this is Sam, I’m a local health worker checking in, how are you today?” My first reply was “Who?” then they just repeated the exact same line again and again. I reckon they wanted me to say yes so they could probably use that somehow. Ended up hanging up, blocked the number and deleted it. Watch out for these sorts of calls.

A lady rang me, I picked up as I’m waiting for a call from doctors about an elderly family member. She was quite polite but kept going on about me qualifying for a grant on solar panels, which doesn’t make sense as I live in the middle of a block of flats. Definitely felt like a scam to me. Got a call from a really articulate and courteous 'woman' named 'Jane' who sounded like some kind of AI bot made to respond to stuff. The weird part was she asked, "can you hear me?" The person on the phone began their usual pitch, but I had to cut in and ask them to speak slower so I could follow properly. When they mentioned safeguarding our home for retirement, I stopped them again and said we’d already sorted that. I said hello but the caller didnt answer, which usually means it’s one of those automated calls. Afterwards, I got some garbled voice message that just made me think even more it was a junk call, so I just hung up.
