Received a call claiming to be regarding my supposed loan approval. The thing is, I haven’t put in for any loans at all. He was unable to verify my name or any information about me, yet insisted on needing my bank card details for an urgent "payment". It’s utterly ridiculous - just a blatant scam attempt!

A chap rang me claiming he had details regarding my outstanding debts and said he was with Citizens Advice. Ironically, I’m actually employed by Citizens Advice myself! I couldn’t resist mentioning this, and he promptly ended the call after that. Quite amusing, really!

When I explained that I wasn't the person he was looking for, he retorted with a rather brusque "don't waste my time" before abruptly disconnecting. Quite impolite, really, given that it was him who decided to ring me in the first place!
