He started off by saying his name and then chatting about winter energy, saying he was calling folks all around here. When he moved onto double glazing, I told him we’d sorted everything already. Ended the call pretty quick. Felt like he was just trying to push spending on us.

Somebody rang me, said they were from an energy firm covering my area, but they just wouldn’t let me get a word in. I was telling them I was waiting on a crucial call about a family member who had just been rushed into hospital, so I couldn’t chat. Instead, they shouted back, really loud, then just ended the call. Didn’t even pause to catch their breath, just kept rattling off their script nonstop!
