01135220163 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01135220163 👆 is reported as a persistent scam call often impersonating well-known companies such as BT Openreach, Amazon, Sky, and various banks. Callers, frequently with Asian accents, falsely claim suspicious or fraudulent activity, attempting to elicit personal bank details or prompt recipients to press buttons or follow instructions to resolve alleged issues. The calls are typically intrusive, sometimes silent, and often originate from call centres with background noise. Many recipients have confirmed no fraudulent transactions exist and warn others not to engage or return calls. These calls are considered both harassing and potentially dangerous, targeting vulnerable individuals, especially the elderly. It is strongly advised not to respond and to report such calls to relevant authorities. The Telephone Preference Service appears ineffective in preventing these nuisance calls.

They keep ringing me saying there's dodgy business going on with my phone, internet, even my bank account, but it's all a con. These calls come from people with Asian accents and it's obvious they are trying to scam you. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away. Don't fall for it!

Got a call from BT Openreach about a phone issue. The funny thing is, I don’t even have a landline! Feels like a proper internet scam to me. Wish they'd checked before ringing.

Total scam this one - they say it’s ‘fraud prevention’ but it’s just a trick. They want you to ‘press 1 to chat with the support team’ and all that rubbish. Avoid it!

I reckon you should give them the full Stanley Unwin bit - just toss around some broadybandloaders and lightloaders onto the routee and watch their heads spin!

Got a call from this number at 8:45 this morning, wasn’t the first attempt either. My call guardian app was off so the call actually came through. Normally, I don’t pick up unfamiliar numbers but I always ring back - this time I got some robotic voice saying an agent would be with me soon, then boom, they just hang up. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

Yet another bloke calling from somewhere in Asia, pretending to be with B.T., saying there’s some problem with my internet that popped up on their system. I told him right away I reckoned it was a scam. Just as I was about to hang up, he asked, “Why don’t you trust me?” I really wanted to say, “Because you’re a con artist, so just get lost!” but kept it polite instead.

I received a voice message claiming that two recent transactions were debited from my bank account-one for £300 and another for £1,000, supposedly linked to an Amazon account. They instructed me to press 1 or 2 to confirm, but I didn't engage at all and simply ended the call. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

Absolutely, I've encountered something akin to that as well. The individual on the line claimed to be from the BT engineering team. I could hear the murmur of a call centre in the background right after I was ushered into a conference call. Quite troubling that my router decided to reboot itself about three to four hours down the line. Makes one wonder if there’s a dodgy element lurking within the company, doesn’t it?

Half an hour ago, around 9am, I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from Sky. She started asking about the colours of the lights on my router and told me to enter some letters to check for problems with my internet. I could hear other voices in the background and asked her where exactly she was calling from. Despite my questions, she kept insisting she was from Sky. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with the call and ended it. Felt a bit off to me.

My landline is unlisted but got a call from some Asian guy mumbling something like 'morning' or maybe 'calling' - not quite sure. Could barely hear him over a lot of noise, sounded like a call centre in the background. I just ended the call.
