Mobile signal around here is rubbish, so if you know me, you'd probably just drop a txt. They might have also tried ringing me on 07836019032.

Some bloke called me claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, offering a cracking deal on a Samsung S20 for just £15. I asked him to email me the details, which he did. We had another chat today, but the call dropped halfway through the conversation.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying there was something wrong with my computer. I told them I have a Mac, so that was pretty much a giveaway it was a scam.

You’ll often get a call warning you that your computer is infected with a virus. They then convince you to let them access your machine remotely, and quite often they actually install some malware themselves. After that, they try to sell you a ‘fix’ for the problem they caused.

I got a call from someone claiming to be John, but it was obvious it wasn’t him. They started off chatting like “how are you?” which is usually a big red flag for me.

Just to clear things up, this 01135220109 number isn’t connected to Microsoft or Currys PC World at all. They both have totally different contact numbers. So if you had a call from this number, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be someone trying to scam you!

I never picked up, so I can't really say much, but getting a call from Leeds at that hour is odd. Nobody who actually knows me would ring then, so it’s probably just spam or some rubbish call.

Haven't had many calls like this for a while but now they're back. Got one today saying there's an issue with my PC and that Microsoft has sent them to sort it out. That’s rubbish though, Microsoft don’t ring up their customers and only find out about issues when you get in touch with them first. I just blocked the number straight away.

Some bloke with an Indian accent called me, said his name was James and that he was from Curry’s PC World. He kept insisting he had a free phone upgrade for me but wouldn’t actually answer anything I asked. Just went on about how it was free. In the end, I cut the call.

Got a call from this number, claimed they were from Vodafone's main office in London. They said it was for a special offer only for certain customers and asked for my bank info. Something felt off, especially when they said they needed to do a credit check on me. They also asked for a deposit for a phone, saying I'd get it back afterwards. Seemed fishy to me.

I had a very similar experience to what others have mentioned. The caller claimed to be from some Housing Repair Group, saying there were cracks and other issues reported on my home. Since I just moved into a brand new place, it sounded possible at first. I asked him who had actually reported the problems, thinking he’d say the builder or site manager. But he couldn’t give me any proper details and ended up just hanging up on me. Seems like a total scam to me!

At first, there was nothing on the other end, just silence, then they started chatting about some housing repairs group, like others here have said. They didn’t use my name, so it's obvious they had no connection to my landlord or lettings agency, whom I’ve already contacted about problems in my flat. So, I just ended the call. Definitely a spam call.
