I picked up but they said nothing, so I just ended the call and blocked the number. Probably some kind of scam.

Got a robocall supposedly from the Housing Disrepair Team about some complaint they said I'd filed. I gave silly answers to the automated questions and after a while, a real person, who I think was from an Indian call centre, came on and just said thanks before hanging up. I’ve reported both the company and the call to Action Fraud and blocked the number straight away.

It honestly baffles me how these scammers can be so dull and lacking in creativity! I had a call earlier today from one claiming to be affiliated with Microsoft. It was painfully evident that he didn't possess a clue about computers whatsoever!

I always look up the number first before picking up.

Got a call on my mobile earlier from a lady, sounded foreign - maybe Asian. She claimed my laptop was hacked. I felt like messing about so I played dumb for a bit. After a while, she started getting really rude and pushy, telling me to pay attention and restart my computer. I told her to jog on (or something similar), ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Today, I got a phone call on my mobile from a woman who sounded like she had a foreign accent, probably Asian. She claimed my laptop was hacked. I decided to mess about and pretended not to understand. After a couple of minutes, she started getting really rude and shouted at me to pay attention and restart my computer. I told her to just leave me alone, ended the call, and then blocked her number straight away.

This number kept ringing me all morning. When I finally picked up, the caller just hung up straight away. On the third try, an Indian lady answered and started telling me my computer was compromised! Thing is, I don’t even own a computer. She was quite pushy and rude about it, insisting I check anyway. Not sure where 0113 is exactly in the UK, but the call felt like it came from miles away. I told her it must be the real hackers on the line. Honestly, I wish the phone networks would do something to block these annoying calls.

Got a call from a guy claiming to be with Microsoft, saying my PC was hacked. He was an Indian bloke and surprisingly knew my name and email. He mentioned Microsoft gets alerts whenever I log in. I brushed him off saying I was tied up and to ring later. He kept pressing me for a specific time to call back, but I told him I wasn’t sure when I’d be free since the fix was meant to take ages. Feels like a scam to me, right?

Received a call from a chap claiming to be from the Microsoft tech support team, his accent quite thick, I must say. He mentioned there was a supposed glitch with my computer. I cut him off mid-sentence and informed him that I was well aware this call was nothing but a ruse, and just like that, he ended the call.
