Got a ring from a woman sounding like she was from London, saying she was calling on behalf of some Energy Hub or something. The chat felt pretty much like one I’ve heard about before - she was pushing loft insulation and offering a free check-up or whatever. I tried telling her a few times that we’d just had this done recently and were happy with the work, but she just kept on going, like she was reading off a script and wasn’t really listening. I said at least twice that I was going to hang up, and finally I just ended the call.

Was alright to start with, but you could tell she was just reading from a script using some dialler. She mentioned something about our insulation being a problem or causing irritation. I told her we actually don’t have any insulation (even though we do) and asked her how she figured that. Then she just dropped the call. Definitely a scam in my book.

They never bother to leave a voicemail, which is a dead giveaway - if it’s important they’d leave a message for sure.
