Someone rang me earlier and straight away started asking if I owned the property. I must have asked them a good five times who they represented, but they just kept saying they were my local energy adviser and that everyone should have one. After I kept pressing for the company’s name, they just cut the call.

I got a call from this woman two times already. She never mentions the name of the company she’s representing, so I just cut the conversation short after a few words. Pretty sure it’s some kind of scam.

I left a message on my answerphone but never got a reply, so it's probably another scam. I've blocked the number now, but I doubt it'll stop the calls. I've reported this to the police before, but it hasn’t helped - the calls from something called Twilio still keep coming. Authorities really ought to take action and maybe lock some of these people up, only then might they realise this kinda harassment isn’t okay.

Twice now I've had a lady ring me up, going on about some issue with Rockwell insulation and fibreglass. Honestly, she seemed clueless and it felt like a total con to me. Don't believe it, it's just a scam.

Without a doubt, this is a scam. A woman calling herself "Jo" has phoned me from various numbers claiming to be my local energy advisor - which makes no sense since the 0113 code is for Leeds, and I’m based way down in Kent, nowhere near Leeds! Whenever she rings, the moment I ask how she got my details (my number is on the TPS list), she hangs up straight away. I'd seriously advise being cautious if you get a call from this number.

I received a rather similar unsolicited call from a different number, 01146976641, on the 14th of December, 2023. An English-speaking woman, with a clear London accent, was on the other end reciting a script and claiming she was a home energy advisor. It struck me as odd that she didn’t even bother with an introduction but insisted that I urgently required home insulation. I must say, I’m thoroughly fed up with these persistent nuisance calls masquerading as legitimate offers. This week alone, they’ve been at it three times already! Clearly, they’re using bogus phone numbers, since 0113 is meant to be for Leeds and 0114 for Reading. I've lodged another complaint with the TPS about this.

I got another call from some woman claiming to be an energy advisor. She kept saying my loft insulation was rubbish now and even brought up the British Lung Foundation. I told her I wasn’t interested, but she just wouldn’t stop talking, so in the end I had to hang up.

I got a call that went pretty much like the one someone else mentioned here recently. There was this long silence before someone picked up, then a woman told me she was an advisor about home energy. She kept going on about how many types of insulation aren't allowed anymore and asked about what kind of insulation my place had and if I actually owned the house. When I told her to take me off whatever mailing list she was using, she just ended the call straight away.
